A greedy secret behind The Secret?
After doing some investigative work, I have come to the conclusion that the "100 year old book" given to Rhonda Byrne in movie The Secret was not, in fact, 'The Science of Getting Rich' by Wallace Wattles. It is my belief that the book was actually 'Ask and It Is Given' by Esther Hicks, who is a best-selling author and speaker. She claims (and I believe she does after listening to many recordings) to translate blocks of thought for a group of non-physical entities who, collectively, call themselves Abraham. The material she translates is referred to as Abraham-Hicks. It seems that Esther and Abraham were to be the focal point of the original concept of The Secret. But later it seems that Ms Byrne and her producers thought that there would be more money to be made by cutting the Abraham-Hicks material out of the film...as well as cutting the profit-sharing ties with the Hicks. If you approach with an open mind, you'll see that there is an uncanny and unwaivering consistency in the Abraham-Hicks material, evidenced even more so in the listening of the recordings. "Follow your bliss...there is great love for you." |
